Terms of Service
Effective October 11, 2026
These terms apply when you use thegram.one, the Thegram web viewer at viewer.thegram.one, the Thegram web app at vault.thegram.one, and the Thegram apps for Mac, iPhone, and iPad (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who we are
The Services are provided by Thegram (“Thegram”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@thegram.one.
2. Accounts
You do not need an account to read files. Signing in to the web app with Google, Apple, or an email code creates an account the first time; it lets you use Vaults and Google Drive. You must be at least 14 years old to create or keep an account; at sign-up we check your date of birth and do not store it. When you create an account you agree separately to the web app’s Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer, and we record which version you agreed to and when. Those documents govern your account and Vaults; where they differ from these terms, they apply. Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for what is done with your account. We may suspend or end an account when needed to protect users or the Services, respond to unlawful use, or comply with law. You can delete your account in the web app’s settings after you give away or delete the Vaults you own. We send only the emails the Services need, such as sign-in codes and security notices. We do not offer paid plans.
3. The Services
- A .gram file keeps knowledge and its full history in one file.
- The Mac app lets you create, edit, and read .gram files on your Mac and, if you sign in, open and save documents in your Vaults.
- The iPhone and iPad app reads .gram files on your device and, if you sign in, downloads your Vault and connected Google Drive documents to read them. It does not edit documents.
- The web viewer at viewer.thegram.one opens .gram files in your browser without an account. It processes a file only to show it to you and does not keep it.
- The web app at vault.thegram.one opens .gram files in your browser. Signed out, it processes a file only to show it to you and does not keep it. Signed in, it also keeps your documents in Vaults and works with the Google Drive accounts you connect.
We may change, suspend, or stop any part of the Services. Some features are early releases and may change or stop working.
4. Your files
- Your files and their content belong to you. We do not claim ownership of them.
- You are responsible for your content and for having the right to use it.
- Files on your devices stay with you; keep your own backups. Documents you save to a Vault are stored by us so the Vault can work, and the people you add to that Vault can access them according to their role. Files in Google Drive stay in the Google account that holds them.
- When you open a file in the web app or save it to a Vault, you allow us to process and store it only to provide the Services to you and the Vault’s members.
5. Using the Mac, iPhone, and iPad apps
Subject to these terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Mac app and the iPhone and iPad app. The iPhone and iPad app is distributed through Apple’s App Store, and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to it. Third-party and open-source components in the apps are covered by their own licenses, which apply to those components.
6. What you must not do
- Use the Services to break the law or infringe the rights of others.
- Upload malware or files built to harm the Services or other people.
- Disrupt, overload, or try to gain unauthorized access to our systems, Vaults, or accounts, including by evading access controls or sending automated requests beyond normal use.
- Use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
If you believe content stored on Thegram infringes your copyright, follow the Copyright Policy. We remove or disable access to material when we receive a valid notice, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.
7. Our rights
The Thegram name, logo, website, and software belong to Thegram or its licensors. These terms do not give you any right to them except as stated here.
8. Third-party services
We link to services such as X, Telegram, and LinkedIn, and the web app lets you sign in with Google or Apple and connect Google Drive. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
9. Disclaimer
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. Please read the Disclaimer for details.
10. Limitation of liability
The Services are free. To the extent permitted by law, Thegram is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Services, except damages caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page at least 7 days before it takes effect, or at least 30 days before for changes that significantly affect your rights. If you keep using the Services after that, the new terms apply. If you have an account, the web app asks you to agree again when you next sign in.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be brought before the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea.
